Carn Brea Morris are a mixed side of Cotswold Morris Dancers.

This means we have persons of all genders doing the sort of Morris Dancing that involves dressing up in britches and baldricks and either waving hankies or bashing sticks together.

We tend to be fairly lively.

We also occasionally drink beer.

During the summer we go out on Monday nights and dance at some of the lovely pubs in West Cornwall, and we often follow the dancing with some traditional songs and music. See the diary for where to find us.

As well as dancing at pubs in summer, Carn Brea Morris are available for private bookings throughout the year - festivals, fairs, fetes, community events, parties and celebrations of all kinds.

During the winter we practice. We meet on Monday evenings at 8pm in the Village Hall, Carnkie (near Redruth).
Anybody is welcome, both men and women, of any age from young teens upwards. You don't need to have done any dancing before or be particularly fit – we've got some easy dances to start on, and you'll be amazed at how much fitter you will soon become.

If you are interested in coming along to a practice, or would like to enquire about booking the side for your event, then please get in touch with us.
